ABOUT

Julie Magner

Principal Physiotherapist

During my 18 year career I have worked in many stages of individual healthcare from acute and rehabilitation hospital wards through to community-based private practice services.

My passion for the past 14 years has been working with individuals with spinal cord Injuries (SCI) and other neurological conditions. I was honoured to be able to contribute to this specialty area of Physiotherapy clinical practice by coordinating multiple hospital based Physiotherapy research studies involving exercise in spinal cord injury.

Through working in hospital and private practice settings, including both the Spinal Unit at Royal Perth Hospital Shenton Park Campus and Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit in New Zealand, I have a developed and refined my approaches to the management of a variety of neurological conditions.  I prioritise working collaboratively with individuals, supporting them to achieve their highest potential.

Over the past 5 years I have been working with ICWA & NDIS participants who have Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and various other neurological conditions.  I thoroughly enjoy seeing the dedication, satisfaction and pride that participants have while working toward and achieving their goals.

In addition to my work in neurological rehabilitation, for the past 7 years I have been fortunate enough to be apart of the Physiotherapy service at the burns unit at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Since locating to the South West region in 2023, I am proud to offer access to specialist rehabilitation and neurological Physiotherapy services to the Busselton & rural Southwest community.

I offer a mobile service to individuals requiring specialist neurological or rehabilitation physiotherapy including:

  • Spinal Cord Injury

  • Neurorehabilitation

  • Stroke

  • Burns Rehabilitation

  • Amputees

  • Falls Prevention
